ELIZABETH BARRIOS, MS CCC-SLP

Clinical Director – Owner. Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. Infant-Toddler Developmental Specialist.

Hola, I am originally from the largest island in the Caribbean, Cuba. I describe my job as a multicultural journey of 25 years through Latin America and the United States, working in the early intervention, private practice, schools, and rehab settings. Immersing myself in a variety of cultures, languages, and accents has motivated me to make a difference with the monolingual and multilingual population from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

I earned my clinical Master in Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University in the U.S. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Special Education (Lic. en Logopedia y Educación Especial) from the Higher Pedagogical Institute, Enrique J. Varona, Havana, Cuba.

English exposure, passion for learning, constant effort, and my faith in God helped me to become a bilingual speech-language pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I can’t thank enough to all the professionals, parents, clients, and institutions who appreciated and respected my differences. They made a great contribution to my career. That is why my motivation became the mission of specializing in the multicultural population with communication needs.
